What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Peer Support Specialist - Youth Mobile Response Team position at Coleman Health Services?
Seeking a Family Peer Support Specialist to provide family peer support services as a member of the Belmont, Harrison & Monroe Counties Youth Mobile Response team. This position is a role model to families, serves as an advocate, and provides information, referral, and linkage to resources and services to family members and/or caregivers involved with youth mobile responses. The peer support specialist performs a wide range of tasks to help parents and/or caregivers involved with Youth Mobile Response access resources, supports, and services to assist their youth through mental health crises and help restore calm within the family. Family Peer Support Specialists provide guidance, hope, and support towards recovery through personal experience and growth and on a reciprocal basis.
Candidate must also hold a peer support certification through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Candidates will have lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child who has been involved with behavioral healthcare services, have and maintain an excellent driving record, and have at least a high school diploma.
