What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN - Canton, OH position at Coleman Health Services?
We are seeking a dependable LPN to support the 24-hour Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in Stark County, Ohio. Currently, our 6 bed CSU is currently housed at Aultman Hospital while we engage in a capital project to erect a brand-new Behavioral Heath Urgent Care set to open in summer of 2026.
Our CSU is a voluntary unit for both males and females over the age of 18 years old experiencing mental health issues. Ideal candidates will be passionate about helping others while maintaining a positive work attitude and having exceptional communication skills.
Positions Available:
- FT Midnight (7PM-7AM)
- FT Days ( 7PM-7AM)
- PT Days (2-12's/week)
- PT Midnight (2-12's/week)
Duties include:
- Coordinating admissions and discharges to and from the CSU
- Administer, monitor, and document medication progress
- Regularly communicate with our prescribers and local emergency rooms
- Working as a team with our CSU counselor, case manager, crisis technicians and prescribers to provide the best care and treatment options for our clients
- Mandatory weekend rotation
Qualifications:
- State of Ohio LPN licensure
- Must be eligible for an NPI number and an Ohio Medicaid number
- Candidates will be expected to complete a drug/alcohol screening within 48 hours of an offer of employment
Preference given to the following candidates:
Prior or current experience in mental health nursing
