OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Dispatch Customer Service Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to both customers and drivers. This role involves handling incoming calls, processing orders, monitoring inventory, and ensuring efficient logistics operations. The specialist will also be trained to understand the entire dispatch process to provide coverage during other dispatchers' time off.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer incoming calls for the Dispatch department, assisting customers with orders and inquiries.
- Respond to driver calls when their dispatcher is unavailable.
- Enter customer orders received via phone, text, and email into the system.
- Monitor site inventory levels to prevent runouts and ensure timely replenishment.
- Source products based on availability, price, and efficiency.
- Check for adequate truck time for orders placed to ensure timely delivery.
- Receive training on the full dispatch process to provide coverage during other dispatchers' absences.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in a customer service or logistics role preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for order entry and inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high call volumes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Weekend Shift
- In office position
- Must be willing to potentially work graveyard shift, weekdays and holidays.
COMPENSATION:
- Starting salary - $55,000 per year

Days Off – Employees will accrue 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked, one personal day on the 1st of January each year and six paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
Other – Employees may be eligible for an annual bonus.
