OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Transload Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of transloading operations at the facility. This includes supervising staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing the timely and accurate transfer of diesel between transportation modes, such as railcars and trucks. This position will report to the Transload Terminal Manager.
JOB DUTIES:
- Supervise daily transloading operations to ensure safe, efficient, and seamless transfers of diesel.
- Manage and lead a team of transload workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the unloading of diesel from trucks and the loading of diesel into railcars.
- Ensure that all transloading activities comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with transport drivers to schedule and dispatch trucks for efficient operations.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, including forklifts, fuel carts, and rack loading systems, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and materials to ensure safety, functionality, and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and avoid disruptions.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including shipment BOLs (Bills of Lading), inventory counts of tools, and safety reports.
- Provide training to new employees on equipment handling, safety procedures, and company-specific loading/unloading processes.
- Assign and oversee tasks to ensure the team maintains productivity and meets shipment deadlines.
- Create load sheets and dispatch drivers, accordingly, ensuring all logistics are in place.
- Ensure that railcars are cleared and dispatched promptly after loading operations are completed.
- Communicate any operational challenges to management, such as equipment malfunctions, staffing issues, or discrepancies in inventory.
- Ensure all team members understand their tasks and responsibilities for each shift and shipment.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Proven experience in transloading, logistics, or warehouse management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong computer skills to manage and work with Excel spreadsheets is required.
- In-depth knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to freight handling and equipment operation.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
- Basic proficiency with computers and inventory management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Clean background check
COMPENSATION:
Salary Range: $24.00 to $28.00 DOE

401(k) - Full time and part time employees are eligible to enroll in the company 401(k) plan following a predetermined amount of time. This option comes with a company match of up to 4%.
Days Off – Employees will accrue 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked, one personal day on the 1st of January each year and six paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
Other – Position may be eligible for an annual bonus.
