The ideal candidate will have lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child who has been involved with behavioral healthcare services.
Responsibilities include mentoring and assisting youth and families through mental health crises, identifying resources and supports based on youth and family needs, and working collaboratively with other team members to further support youth and families.
The Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist provides guidance, hope, and support towards recovery through personal experience and growth on a reciprocal basis.
