Job Summary

This role provides guidance, hope, and support towards recovery through personal experience and growth on a reciprocal basis. Multiple shifts are available for a flexible schedule.

Duties

• Mentor and assist youth and families through mental health crises and restore calm within the family.
• Assist in identifying resources, supports, and services based on youth and family needs.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) Team to further support youth and families throughout the stabilization and transition phases.
• Function as part of an interdisciplinary team and develop and maintain effective relationships with community professionals.

Requirements

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be certified as a Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services or be willing to obtain this certification.
• Have lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child who has been involved with behavioral healthcare services.
• Have and maintain an excellent driving record.
• Be willing to complete and have favorable results for a criminal background check, drug screening, and driving check if selected for the position.
