We are seeking to fill a Warehouse Supervisor position at our Progress Lighting – Jefferson, GA location for B Shift (3:00PM - 11:30PM), Monday through Friday. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct daily warehouse operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
- Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff to maintain a highly productive workforce
- Utilize motivational and communication techniques to coach, mentor, and discipline employees as needed
- Plan and schedule warehouse services, including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returns/damaged goods
- Allocate labor resources based on work volume and business needs
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance and cost savings
- Ensure customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped on time while maintaining cost efficiency
- Generate and distribute reports on warehouse productivity, efficiency, and other key performance metrics
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Finance, Human Resources, and Transportation, to drive operational success
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations and business needs
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in warehousing, shipping, and receiving operations
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, including industrial equipment operation, order picking, packing, and receiving
- Strong leadership and team management skills required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Intermediate skills in data analysis and reporting
- SAP experience (2 years) preferred
- Lean methodologies experience is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
