What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Campus Supervisor position at Colfax Elementary School District?
Under the supervision of the school principal and/or teacher on duty, to provide supervision for school children in the cafeteria and to do other work as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervises and assists children in the cafeteria.
2. Maintains an orderly cafeteria line.
3. Supervises children in the MP room and on the playground.
4. Prevents rough and dangerous play activities and assures that children stay on the playground.
5. Report behavior problems.
6. Encourages and promotes courtesy among children.
7. Enforces school safety rules.
8. Acts as game leader in the playground area as necessary.
9. Maintains discipline in hallways, on the playground, or wherever assigned.
10. Assures that children receive first aide and prepares accident reports when children are injured.
11. Checks for safety issues/hazards.
12. Other duties as assigned. Colfax Elementary School District is located just 5 minutes off Interstate 80 along the Bear River in the Sierra Nevada foothills just below the Tahoe National Forest. Our one-school campus serves students in grades TK-8 with about two classes per grade level. -High School diploma or equivalent is required
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid California driver’s license
TB Clearance
Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of games and sports for children.
2. Knowledge of school safety rules.
3. Knowledge of standards of courtesy to be observed by children.
4. Ability to supervise children in the cafeteria and at play.
5. Maintain acceptable standards of behavior among children.
6. Should have a pleasant personality, dependable and be able to establish and maintain cooperative relations with others.
