Now Hiring : Special Education Teacher (CHC Setting)

Make a real impact on high-risk youth as a Special Education Teacher for the County House of Corrections (CHC). Help students overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

Details :

Pay : $55,329 - $78,363 Benefits

  • Schedule : M-F, 7 : 30am - 3 : 30pm, 185 / 186 days per year
  • Location : TBD

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver specialized, engaging lessons aligned with IEPs
  • Differentiate instruction based on student needs
  • Collaborate with DYS staff to support student growth
  • Provide social-emotional support and transition planning
  • Monitor and report on IEP progress
  • Engage families through conferences and events

    • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • MA license in Mild-to-Moderate Disabilities (Grades 5-12)
  • Commitment to teaching high-risk youth
  • Master's Degree preferred, multilingual candidates highly desired
