Position Purpose
The Media Specialist, under the general supervision of the Chief of Staff is responsible for a wide variety of developing the organizations marketing, and public image.
Principle Accountabilities

Create standards for marketing collateral - announcements, brochures, invitations, newsletters, etc.

Build and enhance digital library of marketing collateral materials and templates.

Develop newsletters for team members to inform them of various policies and company standards.

Keep abreast of social medial and marketing trends and advise management of marketing strategy.

Design and coordinate conferences, receptions, seminars, and client events.

Collaborate with Violence Intervention Specialist and students to design awareness campaign and corresponding collateral materials to ensure continued engagement and program excitement.

Maintain event budgets and initiated relations with various vendors for sites and giveaways.

Build and enhance current programming with local and national business organizations, including regulatory agencies and nonprofits.

Manage branding and strategy for digital assets: Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, and others.

Develop original content for digital assets: articles, short publications, annual reports, web post, blogs, newsletter, social media post, videos, flyers, and other relevant materials.

Maintain Donor Database
Education
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Management, Public Administration or related field or a combination of education and experience.
Experience
Five years of business and marketing experience in private or public arena. Ability to multi-task and team with non-profit and for-profit entities. Expertise working with multicultural populations. Strong oral and written communication.
