Job Description
We are seeking a Per Diem Wellness Respite Associate to provide supportive services for guests in our Paterson location. Under the direction of the Program Manager, you will work with guests to develop a Wellness Plan and link them to services and resources within their community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive services to guests in a meaningful and successful stay.
- Help guests learn crisis coping skills and work towards realizing their full potential.
- Collaborate with guests to develop a Wellness Plan and link them to services and resources within their community.
- Work in an open-door setting where guests can continue their daily activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a mental health related discipline or High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of related work or life experience.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage crisis and work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation model preferred.
- Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
- Valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
- Lived Experience: We prioritize hiring people who use their own life experience with mental health/substance use to inspire and support others.
Benefits:
