Housing Specialist
CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit, seeks a full-time Housing Specialist in the southern region. The ideal candidate coordinates information and referrals for housing placements, develops relationships with key stakeholders, and provides technical assistance to support services teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates housing placements and referrals in assigned regions
- Develops and maintains relationships with brokers, landlords, linkage agencies, referral sources, and government housing agencies
- Provides technical assistance to support services teams regarding affordable housing opportunities
- Spends 55% of time in direct face-to-face contact with residents
- Participates in on-call rotation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related discipline
- Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate billable progress notes
- Experience with real estate and knowledge of State and local housing regulations
- Excellent communication skills, particularly listening, mediation, and writing skills
- Detail-oriented to complete requirements of files and contract compliance
- Ability to collaborate with individuals living with mental illness in a caring and professional manner
- C.P.R.P. (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner) certification a plus
- Proficient in MS Office products and general computer literacy
- Must have a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Bilingual skills a plus

Benefits:
