Morgan Stanley is seeking a professional to join their Talent Development Team. Talent Development is responsible for strategizing, designing, creating, and evaluating employee development for internal clients at all levels. The global Talent Development team works with Human Resources to provide practical, relevant, and enduring talent development solutions for professionals, managers, and leaders globally. The role is based in Alpharetta, and liaises globally.

This position serves as a Vice President - focusing on the structure, design, content, and execution - for the Firm's Leadership Development programs and initiatives with a focus on D&I programming.

What you'll do in the role :

  • Conceptualize, design, drive / revise, implement, and evaluate innovative Firm Leadership programs and experiences (internal and external opportunities).
  • Build D&I leadership development programs and initiatives that are practical - with a focus on changing behavior, reflecting firm culture and innovation.
  • Partner with D&I team, Talent & Diversity Advisors, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to gather and synthesize leadership development needs.
  • Liaise with global counterparts to communicate and leverage programs and program components and content.
  • Partner with Marketing, HR Technology, Corporate Communications to create a holistic development experience.
  • Use a data-driven approach to identify needs / trends / themes and inform program design.
  • Assess effectiveness and competitiveness of programs and practices by leveraging industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices.
  • Understand leading research in the space of diversity and talent.
  • Use data to 'tell a story.'

What you'll bring to the role :

  • 6-8 years working in a corporate environment - preferably in financial services.
  • Previous experience developing Diversity & Inclusion programs and content strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience applying adult learning / leadership development theories strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of current issues and best practices in talent development, including a clear understanding of how it drives commercial results in a financial services environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships.
  • Highly collaborative; able to work effectively with diverse colleagues and peers to deliver results.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, articulate complex ideas in simple ways, and influence others through data.
  • Ability to listen and adapt to client needs, changing business priorities, and overall environment.
  • Client-focused and builds avenues to continuously listen and understand client needs.
  • Builds programs fit for purpose that look to solve a problem or development need - keeps the program's objective in mind at all times.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift; remains calm under pressure to deliver results.
  • Strong time / workload management skills and attention to detail; exhibits an ability to prioritize and work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity.

    Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105,000 and $155,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
