Sr. Technical WriterDirect Hire full time opportunity Why is it that technical writers get all the glory? No seriously, it's a hard job and someone that does it well deserves rock star status. We have projects that need a full time Technical Writer. You'll need to be able to translate specific technical documentation into a more user-friendly documentation format and translate hardcore technical information to a non-technical , thoroughly edited books, manuals, websites, FAQ's, reports, periodicals, web-based content, press releases, and / or marketing materials-Show you can liaise with internal departments, subject matter experts, and target audiences and successfully integrate customer concerns and requirements into effective written materials.-Responsible for designing, writing, revising and / or editing of technical and / or promotional papers (, application papers, product descriptions, catalogs, manuals / guides, commercial applications, brochures, product articles, etc.).-Analyzes and interprets data to determine appropriate syntax, style, and grammatical usage.-Information may be produced on hard copy or electronic medium.-Performs tasks related to the construction of technical and non-technical illustrations and graphics.-Attends planning / coordination meetings to assess customer requirements.-Overseeing preparation of illustrative material, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts-Supporting slide / video production-Serving as editor on specific publications including article selection, artwork coordination, productions and distribution.-May assist in preparation and layout of work for publication.-Individuals act as internal experts, consultants, and program / project managers and represent the corporation to external groups, agencies, and vendors.Wouldn't it be awesome if you had some familiarity with the following : -Proven experience designing and delivering developer-oriented documentation-Experience using multiple documentation tools to develop base templates and manipulate output styles-Experience working with a programming language such as C#, Java, PHP, or Ruby etc.-Strong attention to detail-Experience working directly with development teams-A proactive and open-minded attitude to resolving problems and delivering results-Passion to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentPreferred Qualifications-A minimum of 5 years in a technical writing or lead writing role-Degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field highly desirable-Some experience with mobile services and related technologies a plus-Previous experience working in an agile programming environment a plus
