Overview
Collage Group is seeking a Director, Qualitative Market Research to join our Custom Insights team in our mission to help organizations unleash the power of culture to drive brand growth. Working directly with Fortune 500 clients, you will own and lead custom-designed qualitative research projects delving into a variety of US Consumer sub-cultures.
The Director will have supplier-side experience conducting qualitative consumer research across the whole project lifecycle, as well as owning and managing client relationships. This is a multi-functional role conducting custom consumer and market insights research across multiple US market segments. You will propel research through scoping, research design and fielding, analysis and client presentations. In this role you will also leverage Collage’s intellectual assets, including breakthrough insights, strategies and best practices to provide a complete picture of America’s fastest-growing, most influential consumers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead client researcher and moderator with key client accounts, working with clients to manage and execute qualitative market research to uncover key insights that will shape the way our clients activate these consumer segments.
- Craft compelling stories, translating data into insights that address key client business issues. Apply solid business understanding to deliver strategic recommendations to clients.
- Develop client rapport and manage expectations through communications that develop trust and build strong relationships and repeat business.
- Directly supervise and manage 3-5 employees. Provide mentoring and coaching to create an inspiring environment; maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
- Direct multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring efficiency and profitability margins. Guide the team as they execute research projects from start to finish; scoping and proposal development, instrument development, fielding, analysis and presentation of results.
- Moderate a range of qualitative methodologies including online bulletin boards / diaries, IDIs and focus groups.
- Coordinate with clients, team members, and 3rd party vendors through the project lifecycle including screener and discussion guide design, recruitment, moderation, analysis and reporting.
- Work together with other Collage Group team members and assist in the proposal and bid process.
- Together with the leadership team, develop innovative approaches, activities and methodologies that will result in outstanding insights for our clients and differentiate.
- Assist in the hiring, development, management, and retention of Custom Solutions talent.
- Collaborate with quantitative team members on multi-method projects and cross-train / support on occasional quantitative projects.
Experience
Compensation : $125,000 - $140,000 base bonus opportunity

About Our Compensation Practices : Typically, we hire at the midpoint of our range, but actual starting pay may be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation, candidate experience, and budgetary constraints.
