Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive maintenance and repair of all facility equipment, including, but not limited to: processing conveyors, diverters, and controls; support equipment such as forklifts, air compressors, and utility distribution; and facility plumbing, sewers, HVAC, floors, walls, ceiling, roof, and lighting.
- Assists with troubleshooting electrical (0-480 volt AC), electronic, pneumatic (0 150 psi), hydraulic (0-4000 psi), HVAC (Freon), and mechanical equipment.
- Performs on-call service, as scheduled, and responds promptly to emergencies.
- Assists in performing a variety of general maintenance tasks, including electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, carpentry, building, and parking lot repairs.
- Adheres to all standards regarding safety on the job and maintains buildings in accordance with regulatory licensing and agency standards.
- Identifies unsafe conditions and either immediately corrects situation and brings it to the immediate attention of immediate supervisor.
- Completes appropriate reports and documentation.
- Works independently to complete assigned tasks under minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work any shift.
- Regular communication with peers and supervisors.
Experience & Skills:
- Strong understanding of the job functions and possesses the knowledge and skills required to perform the required job functions.
- Dependable, responsible and willing to accept accountability.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Skill and ability to operate equipment (includes, but not limited to: forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, scissor, and boom lift vehicles).
- Good verbal communication skills with the ability to speak and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors and associates.
- Ability to read and interpret safety, equipment installation, and repair manuals (primarily in English).
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Detail oriented with good problems solving skills.
- Good customer service orientation.
- Ability and desire to learn new skills.
Qualifications:
- Technical school training or minimum of one-year on-the-job experience in maintenance/preventative maintenance in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- High school degree or equivalent.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
- Physical activity includes regular standing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and climbing stairs and ladders.
- Extensive walking and working on elevated platforms.
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver up to 50 lbs.

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.38 - $38.07 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g. qualifications, education, prior experience). Applications will be accepted while this position is posted on our careers website.
