POSITION SUMMARY
As a Project Manager at Greats States Construction, you will oversee and manage our construction projects from start to finish. You will play a key role in coordinating resources, managing subcontractors, and maintaining client relationships to ensure successful project execution.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate and schedule resources, subcontractors, and materials to ensure efficient project workflow.
- Monitor project progress, conduct regular site visits, and implement adjustments as needed to achieve project goals.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Prepare detailed project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts.
- Monitor project expenditures, track costs, and identify opportunities to control expenses and optimize profitability.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and manage procurement activities.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce quality control and safety standards in accordance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure workmanship meets specified requirements and client expectations.
- Address any quality issues or safety concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Risk Management and Problem Solving:
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and liabilities.
- Proactively anticipate and resolve project challenges, conflicts, and issues that may arise during construction.
- Implement effective communication and escalation processes to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management:
- Maintain regular communication with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment and meet project objectives.
- Facilitate meetings, provide progress updates, and manage expectations to foster positive relationships and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with the Great State’s growth objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, market segments, and competitive threats.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential projects and clients through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach efforts.
Sales Management and Growth:
- Lead the sales team in achieving revenue targets and business objectives.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies, including pricing strategies, bid processes, and proposal development.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to optimize sales processes and drive profitability.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, developers, architects, engineers, and government agencies.
- Act as a primary point of contact for our high-profile returning clients, including our internal development team.
Contract Negotiation and Project Acquisition:
- Set standards for the acquisition of new construction projects through competitive bidding, negotiations, and relationship-building.
- Support the contract negotiation process to secure favorable terms and conditions that align with company goals and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with project managers and estimating teams to develop comprehensive project proposals and bids.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales and business development team to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts with other departments, such as project management, estimating, and finance, to ensure seamless project transitions and client satisfaction.
