College Auxiliary Services (CAS) owns and operates Valcour Inn & Boathouse. We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager!
As the Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the beauty, functionality, and safety of Valcour Inn & Boathouse. Working closely with the Director of Operations, you will oversee maintenance, repairs, and capital projects while ensuring the property is in top condition for guests, staff and visitors.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and perform general building and equipment repairs.
- Maintain heating, water, and environmental systems, including routine testing and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Manage vehicle and equipment upkeep, ensuring compliance with registrations and inspections.
- Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Assist in budgeting and securing quotes for maintenance and repair projects.
- Manage work orders, prioritize maintenance requests, and track inventory.
- Oversee landscaping, groundskeeping, and snow removal efforts.
- Support event setups and take-downs.
- Oversee the part-time Facilities Technician.
What We're Looking For:
- Hands-on maintenance and repair experience.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and painting.
- The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license.
- To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, an employee will be regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Preferred qualifications: Trade specific and/or OSHA certifications
