About our team:
The College Greens Gators swim team is a recreational swim team for children ages 4-18 within the Suburban Swim League. We are located in Sacramento, CA, in the College Greens neighborhood. We are currently looking for an assistant swim coach for our 2025 swim season. The season runs from April - July.
Position summary:
We are looking for an assistant swim coach to join our coaching staff. This person will work closely with the head coach, and will communicate the philosophy and training plan of the head coach to swimmers. Provide technical training on stroke technique. Act as a supervisor to teen swimmer coaches.Set up and clean up practices. Run practices when the head coach is unavailable. Be available at weekend swim meets.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
1 year coaching experience preferred
CPR/AED/First Aid certified within 60 days of hire
Lifeguard certification or swim coach water safety certification within 60 days of hire
Pass a Livescan background check, to be completed within 14 days of hire.
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift 20 lbs
Ability to stand, bend, and stay stationary for long periods of time
Ability to communicate effectively with swimmers, coaching staff, and parents.
Availability:
You would need to be available Monday-Friday between the hours of 3:30-8:30pm from April 21-June 12, and then available Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00am-12:00pm from June 16-August 1. You must also be available for Saturday swim meets from approximately 7:30am-2:00pm. There are some additional team events that will require your attendance throughout the season as well.

Pay:
This is a part-time position (8-25 hours/week), paid hourly with a starting pay of $17/hour and up to $20/hour depending on experience
