Job Summary
Supervises and performs many varied tasks within the Food and Nutrition Services department, under the direction of the Food and Nutrition Services Director and Registered Dietitian that includes: assisting with planning, organizing, developing, and directing of all overall operation, of the FNS dept. in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
Duties
- Effectively assists with planning, organizing, developing, and directing of all overall operation of the FNS dept. in accordance with applicable federal, state and local guidelines, company policies and procedures, and as directed by the Dietary Director.
- Effectively hires, trains, supervises and directs food service workers in completing all assigned tasks properly and completely, in a timely manner.
- Orders, monitors, and maintains adequate food supplies.
- Supervises Food and Nutrition Services staff to ensure that all assigned tasks are performed properly and completely.
- Supervises Food and Nutrition Services staff to ensure patient trays are put constructed appropriately in accordance with department procedures and patient menus.
- Supervises and ensures proper sanitization of dishes, service ware, and equipment.
- Effectively assists with special functions as assigned.
- Perform all assigned tasks properly and completely, in a timely manner.
- Leads, attends, and participates in ongoing department training.
- Effectively performs additional duties and responsibilities as position requires.
Qualifications
- Must have current, valid DDS Certificate or Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or Food Management with one-year experience in dietetic service of licensed health facility.
- Must have current, valid ServSafe Certificate.
- 6 months' experience working in Food Services in healthcare setting.
- Speak, read, and write in English.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.41 - $35.57 per hour
