Position Summary

The hiring salary for this position will be from the min to mid-point of the salary range.
Athletic programs provide competitive opportunities that promote learning and development outside the classroom and encourage interaction among students and between students and the college community. The Head Athletics Trainer plans, schedules, and manages all home athletic events, Additionally, the Head Athletics Trainer provides athletic training services to all athletes, orders equipment / uniforms, hires officials, and participates in contract negotiation.
Reports to : Director II, Athletics and Fitness

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Athletic Training 45%
- Serves as the Athletic Trainer and provides injury prevention, injury evaluation, first aid, and emergency care for home training sessions and athletic events to all CSM and visiting athletes.
- Works with the Athletic and Fitness Director to assess potential safety hazards at all home athletic events / training sessions and with the use of equipment.
- Develops and facilitates rehabilitation programs for student-athletes.
- Provides direct patient care to the student-athletes participating in varsity sports.
