What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Surveying position at College of the Canyons?
We are currently seeking Adjunct Instructors for our Land Surveying program. The teaching assignment may be at the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume leadership roles and demonstrate commitment to serving student, department, college, and community needs.
- Participate in curriculum and program development, working collaboratively within the college community.
- Engage with students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, adapting teaching pedagogy as needed.
- Integrate new technologies into the learning process, including interactive tools for on-campus and online courses.
Requirements:
- Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Land Surveying.
- OR: Any bachelor's degree and two years of full-time equivalent professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment; OR any associate degree and six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment.
Conditions of Employment:
- Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes.
- Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
