Description
This temporary, part-time short-term hourly position as Part-Time House Manager will assist the Operations Manager, Performing Arts Center & Instructional Performing Arts Programs of the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center on the Valencia Campus.
Example of Duties
Duties may include but not limited to:
- Assist in the coordination, communication, and scheduling of volunteer ushers for each performance.
- Prepare and oversee ushers and the lobby/house for PAC events.
- Assist in facilitating usher orientation for newly on boarded ushers.
- Log usher hours following each event.
- Follow and enforce all PAC emergency procedures and protocols.
- Coordinate with district personnel, (i.e. custodial, facilities, campus safety, etc.) for event needs.
- Submit accurate House Manager reports following each event.
- Assist in coordinating, tracking and sales of concessions and merchandise.
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements
The work schedule is based on event timelines and varies depending on the week’s agenda (averaging approximately 16-hours per week). Candidates should demonstrate a record of professional/courteous customer service and display comfort working with the Microsoft Office Suite, electronic communication, and electronic devices.

Further Details
This is a temporary, hourly assignment and is not part of the classified service. There are no fringe benefits and this position is not represented by any of the District’s collective bargaining units.
