Description
The Scholarship Advisor assists with recruitment and retention of students for the Nextgen Opportunity Workforce (NOW) Scholarship.
Examples of Duties
- Recruit students from the appropriate high school to apply for the NOW scholarship annually.
- Assist prospective students and NOW scholarship applicants to complete college and scholarship applications.
- Coordinate with Financial Aid to assist assigned students complete a FAFSA, as appropriate.
- Assess assigned scholarship recipients' academic performance at least two times per semester and at the end of each semester.
- Coordinates with CFK tutors, as necessary to support the assigned scholarship recipients.
- Ensures that assigned scholarship recipients have appointments with academic advisors and are registered for each semester.
- Assists with coordinating recruitment and retention events including campus tours, application workshops, and other events as determined by the College.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for assigned scholarship recipients and CFK staff.
- Other related duties as assigned.
