Overview
We are seeking a passionate Volleyball Coach to lead our team and foster a positive and competitive environment for our athletes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and demonstrate the ability to educate and inspire students of various skill levels. This role is essential in developing not only the technical skills of the players but also their teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Practices will occur twice a week for two hours each. Tournament season begins in January and continues until March. Practice times and hours can be negotiated at the start of the season.
Duties
- Work with team captains to develop and implement training programs that enhance players' skills in volleyball.
- Conduct regular practice sessions, focusing on fundamental techniques, strategies, and game tactics.
- Evaluate individual player performance and provide constructive feedback to promote improvement.
- Organize and manage team operations during weekend tournaments.
- Foster a supportive team culture that encourages participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Monitor athletes' commitment and participation to ensure they maintain eligibility for participation.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain discipline during practices and games.
Skills
- Strong background in sports coaching, specifically volleyball.
- Experience working with students in an educational or athletic setting.
- Knowledge of physical education principles related to sports training.
- Ability to educate athletes on game rules, techniques, and strategies effectively.
