Minimum Education/Training/Experience
Proctor I – High school diploma or GED and 1 year of general clerical experience
Proctor II – Associate’s degree or 1 year of relevant work experience
Experience within an educational environment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed below.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Experience working in a higher education testing center.
Minimum Knowledge & Skills
Business arithmetic; The use of specified computer applications; Complex or technical office practices and procedures; record keeping practices; Applicable regulations, policies and statutes; Operating standard office equipment; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Job Duties
Administer college entrance and departmental exams to applicants and students. Proctor state exams such as TCEQ, TCOLE and TCFP to ensure exam integrity. Proctor will greet candidates, verify identification and seat at assigned workstation. Troubleshoot and assist candidates with technical issues that arise during exams. Proctors must pass and maintain certification as required for exams such as Pearson VUE and TSIA. Actively monitor students and candidates through exam dashboards (if applicable), visually and physically by entering labs. Assist candidate with post exam procedures that may include printing and/or distribution of scores and post exam reports. Clean and check workstations after each candidate has finished exam to verify exam is closed and ensure no items remain.
