Position Details
UB Tutors must be flexible and may travel to/from COM to partnering high schools and may work evenings and/or select Saturdays.
3.0 GPA
Minimum grade of ‘B’ in core tutoring subject(s)
Majors: Education, Math, Science, English
Tutoring high school students
Student and/or substitute teaching
Coaching teenagers
Dual Credit/Advanced Placement
ECHS

TI-Nspire™/ TI-84 graphing calculators
Knowledge of Pre-Algebra through PreCalculus (for math tutoring)
Confidentiality
Bilingual in Spanish
Communicate updates and concerns to Advisor/Director
Encourage and remind participants of upcoming tasks, deadlines, and events
Assist with Saturday Academies on and off campus
Ensure a safe learning environment for participants and maintain confidentiality of student records
Other duties as needed
