What are the responsibilities and job description for the Theatre Faculty Position position at College of the Ozarks?
College of the Ozarks is seeking a theatre generalist who can serve as a director, designer of scenery, light, and sound, and technical director for departmental productions, as well as for all campus events that take place in Jones Theatre. This position includes teaching 18 hours of theatre courses per academic year. The ideal candidate will have a positive approach to problem-solving and enjoy working collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and administrators. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the College’s five-fold mission: Christian, Academic, Vocational, Cultural and Patriotic, and, at a minimum, should hold a master’s degree in theatre from a N.A.S.T. accredited institution. Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree in the field.
The successful candidate must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission and demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate students, a commitment to serving as a mentor and positive role model, and an interest in the relationship of theatre to the Christian faith.
