Under the direction of the Executive Director, Foundation/Institutional Advancement, the Foundation Technician will coordinate the donor development, alumni relations, and volunteer engagement plans, maintain effective relationships with the public, and assist in various Foundation/Institutional Advancement activities.This position is a 12-month, full-time position. Monday –Friday 7:45 a.m. -4:45 p.m. Initial placement is at $62,150College of the Sequoias Community College District serves a diverse community of learners and is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution. COS provides a wide range of opportunities in transfer, general education, career and technical programs for our students. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Job duties of the Foundation Technician include: Participate in the planning and execution of special events and other promotional activities of the Foundation/Institutional Advancement Office.Complete tasks within the Foundation/Institutional Advancement Office communication plans.Support volunteers and staff who are securing campaign donations, sponsorships, ticket sales, and other resources.Recruit, select, train and provide work direction to student workers and event volunteers.Support committee and task force volunteer meetings (meeting packet distribution, meeting reminders, securing location, securing RSVPs, setup/catering, note taking, and board report drafts.)Maintain effective communications with current and prospective donors and recipients using correct English, grammar, and spelling.Maintain and communicate the department event calendar to ensure all critical steps are documented and completed in a timely manner.Maintain a variety of records, files and reports regarding donors and donations including detailed ledgers, correspondence, receipts and other related matters; prepare accurate reports for submission according to established timelines.Update and maintain Foundation website content.Utilize the district’s integrated software to perform the required duties of the position.Perform related duties as assigned.
