Job Responsibilities
- Monitor day-to-day instruction to ensure conformance with state legislative mandates and the regulations/procedures of the Commission on Police Officer Standards and Training.
- Mentor and advise Academy trainees to ensure they meet student training needs.
- Conduct uniform inspections/roll calls to maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Review reports and initiate progressive discipline as necessary.
- Fulfill various administrative functions to support the smooth operation of the Academy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of a POST certified Academy
- Possession of a POST Basic Certificate in good standing
- Minimum one (1) year of Patrol Experience
