Job Title: Information Technology (IT) Manager
Purpose Statement:
The Information Technology (IT) Manager is a key Operations team member who is responsible for the delivery of dependable, high functioning, intuitive church-wide information technology hardware, infrastructure, and technology security systems. This person will create and maintain a secure environment around technology in support of and in harmony with College Park Church core values and mission.
This person is to ensure that technology strategy, policy, process, and investments all consistently protect ministry systems and data, build trust with staff, volunteers, ministry partners and church members and attendees, through a predictable, stable, responsive, and supportive culture, which assists people to connect with one another and together achieve critical ministry objectives.
The IT Manager will regularly work with staff ministry teams to solve acute individual and enterprise problems, identify emerging needs and opportunities, and optimize/create cost-effective solutions that are needed and in support of College Park Church ministries.
Reports to: Executive Pastor (Operations Team)
Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure and Hardware
- Guide and direct information technology hardware and infrastructure in support of staff, contractors, and volunteers
- Be the primary advocate for intuitive, dependable, stable, and accessible technology for the church ministry staff, congregation, and guests
- Provide timely and effective assistance to staff and other impacted persons for acute technology-related help-desk needs
- Support onboard and offboarding of staff technology needs (e.g., device set-up), utilizing MSP support as needed
- Direct creative and cost-effective technological improvements for both personal and enterprise level support of the mission of the church
- Lead cyber-security efforts for protection, deterrence and prevention of unintended data access, corruption or loss
- Implement comprehensive security auditing process for system vulnerabilities
- Select and manage vendors for equipment and services encompassing IT, data, and telecom
- Manage relationships with contractors and Managed Services Providers
- Provide support on Sunday mornings for congregant-facing technology needs (e.g., check-in kiosks, live stream, wi-fi)
- IT Plan & Strategy
- Maintain a church-wide hardware and security technology plan in partnership with the staff and in support of the church mission
- Develop and manage the Information Technology budget, monitor, and approve related expenditures
- Research emerging technologies with outside partner, recommend, and deliver solutions that support the priorities of College Park Church
- Analyze technology requirements and deliver effective price appropriate solutions as necessary
- Complete annual assessments and evaluate and implement continuous improvement or step change efforts as needed
- Assist in consideration of system-wide software solutions
- Assist staff with research and implementation of technology tools, when appropriate, such as automation and AI to make ministry teams/efforts more efficient and effective
- Collaboration with Web & Database Specialist and other staff on a technology working group
- Meet on a regular, systematic basis for shared learning, support, and triage
- Coordinate the subset of projects, tasks, and tools that overlap between the two roles
- Properties, new construction, and upgrades
- Provide leadership and support for technology and infrastructure needs for new construction projects and property upgrades

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field is recommended
- 2 years experience in IT Management

Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time, exempt role, 40 hours weekly, Sunday-Thursday.
