At CollegeCommunityCareer, we believe in fighting for the underdog and making a real social impact. Our team is passionate, driven, and deeply invested in the success of our students and their families. We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented professional to join us as a College Success Advisor and walk with our students every step of the way.

What You’ll Do

As a College Success Advisor, you’ll be much more than a guide—you’ll be a combination of mentor, advocate, and trusted ally for students striving to achieve their college dreams. Your mission will be to shadow and invest in our students, meeting them where they are, and move them toward success by understanding their unique needs and helping them navigate the challenges of higher education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be Student-Focused: Prioritize the individual needs of students, working with them during their availability, which might include some early evenings and weekends.
  • Advocate for Success: Show students how to advocate for themselves and for CollegeCommunityCareer, embodying the principles of care and dedication.
  • Communicate and Collaborate: Work effectively within a small team and with external stakeholders to create a network of support for students.
  • Be in the Trenches: Dive into the daily challenges students face, guiding them through financial aid, academic planning, and personal development.
  • Teach and Walk Alongside: Offer practical, hands-on guidance, understanding why each step in the process matters.
  • Market CCC: Promote CollegeCommunityCareer and our mission to students, families, and the community with authenticity and passion.
  • Adapt and Blend: Integrate seamlessly into our existing systems, showing flexibility and openness to growth as we expand our reach.

What We’re Looking For

  • Detail-Oriented and Curious: Stay organized while exploring every avenue to ensure students have what they need to succeed.
  • Growth Mindset: Believe in the power of learning, improvement, and creating meaningful social impact.
  • Personal Investment: Be genuinely invested in the journey of each student and their family, understanding the profound impact you can have on their lives.
  • Punctuality and Professionalism: Show up early, be prepared, and set a standard of reliability and dedication.
  • Passion for the Underdog: Advocate for those who need it most, ensuring every student has a fair chance to succeed.
  • Willingness to Work When Students are Available: Flex your schedule to meet students where and when they need support.
  • Team Player: Collaborate seamlessly within our office and with external partners, contributing to our shared mission.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience and can relate to students we serve.
  • Bilingual
