This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects, where you will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and stains to various surfaces. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment to achieve a smooth finish.
- Perform renovations and restorations on existing structures, ensuring high-quality results.
- Collaborate with a team of painters to achieve quality results and finish work effectively.
- Conduct basic math calculations for measuring areas and estimating paint quantities needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Assist in trim carpentry tasks as needed to enhance the overall appearance of painted surfaces.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating paint requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites.
- A maintenance person mentality with the capability to perform various maintenance tasks beyond painting is desirable.
- Valid driver's license may be required based on project locations.
