Are you passionate about supporting worship through music?
Collegiate Presbyterian Church in Ames, IA is looking for a Music Director who can bring energy, vision, organization and coordination to worship services and other musical opportunities. The Music Director will work in partnership with the Pastor, choir director, organist, worship band and worship committee. Organizational and communication skills are essential for coordination between teams and volunteer musicians, to offer inspiring and diverse musical content at Collegiate Presbyterian Church.
As our Music Director, you will :
- Coordinate music for weekly Sunday worship services and work to align musical selections with weekly sermon themes and scriptures.
- Communicate music selections and rehearsal schedules with appropriate musicians.
- Coordinate weekly praise band rehearsals with praise band musicians, scheduling musicians and teaching participants as needed.
- Facilitate musical performances on Sunday mornings and at special worship services.
- Facilitate musical opportunities for youth at CPC.
- Provide other occasional music support , as needed, and requested, by the Head of Staff or staff designee, including special music events and memorial services.
