What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiovascular Sonographer - PRN Opportunity position at Colleton Medical Center?
Role and Responsibilities
You will transport patients to and from the department for testing as needed, keep accurate records for cleaning and maintaining the equipment, and perform other functions as determined by the Supervisor in expediting the care of the patient. Additionally, you will assist in performing other duties in the diagnostic cardiology department (Special Testing) such as performing EKGs, Holter Monitoring, and Stress Testing.
What Qualifications Do You Need?
- An Associate Degree in sonography specializing in cardiology is preferred
- Registered or eligible for credentialing as an Echocardiographer (must obtain registration within 9 months of employment)
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
