Colley's Pools & Spas Purchasing Manager:
This position requires the individual to posses a strong background in purchasing, negotiations, communications, inventory demand, management and team development. It requires constant management of inventory levels for events, sales and consumer demand while ensuring timely inventory fulfillment and management of pricing negotiations. A successful purchasing inventory manager will effectively direct all team members and is responsible for year over year inventory levels, pricing negotiations, cost of goods, retail pricing, margins and warranty. The person in this position will be expected to make suggestions that will be of the cost saving nature, and will help with the implementation of plans that benefit the company. Specifically reducing inventory, operation costs, or improving inventory accuracy.
This position reports directly to the General Manager and will interface with the Retail, Service, and Warehouse managers. There will be daily contact with Warehouse, Service, Installation Crew Coordinators, Foremen, and Retail Store personnel.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Determine the quantity of product to order by reviewing sales history and question the need for an item if past sales do not justify keeping it in stock.
· Purchase items based on lowest cost, customer needs, and availability.
· Locate alternate sources for product and parts.
· Interact and negotiate with vendors
· Oversee vendor credits and Co-Op dollars / Rebates
· Assist with preparing early buy orders and input the yearly cost and retail price changes. Update cost and retail data as needed, and question changes in our costs.
· Review invoice discrepancies to determine if we were charged incorrectly.
· Review back orders make necessary calls to get updates, determine if the part needs to be reordered, and keep the parts room informed on due dates.
· Maintain and know vendor minimums, shipping requirements and terms.

· Negotiate pricing and order inventory using Early Buy, Special Order and Just-In-Time Inventory for all departments and subsidiaries
· Negotiate pricing and purchase all non inventory items - such as construction supplies, tools, and equipment.
· Update cost and retail pricing yearly and as needed for all departments and subsidiaries to ensure acceptable margins
· Attend Construction meetings to review special order and missing information for materials related to new construction
· Purchasing for all departments and subsidiaries and other stores
· Ensure all inventories are ordered and received by deadlines & terms
· Prepare inventory levels for events and sales
· Manage day to day tracking of inventory
· Pass Monthly inventory audits
· Assist and coordinate inventory cycle counts and yearend inventory figures to upper management
· Research purchasing and inventory questions and return calls to staff to eliminate customer escalations.
· Effectively answer team members questions
Compensation will be based off of experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
