What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compounding Pharmacy Technician position at Collier Drug Stores, Inc.?
Collier Drug Stores, Inc. is growing and is looking for an experienced pharmacy technician. The ideal candidate is a pharmacy technician who is licensed in the State of Arkansas with at least two years retail pharmacy experience. Technician will primarily work at our Compounding Lab but will need to work occasionally next door at our Springdale retail pharmacy locations. Essential Job Functions:

- Provide excellent customer service
- Answer phones promptly
- Communicate with MD, nurses, patients, and insurance companies
- Evaluate and enter prescription/patient information
- Count and label medication efficiently
- Handle and process insurance information
- Assist the pharmacists
- Work with other employees as a team
- Prepare and mix intravenous medications as needed
- Weigh ingredients correctly and process them following the provided formula worksheet specifications
- Ensure correct formula preparation according to the prescription following quality assurance guidelines
- Ensure compounds are prepared in accordance to formulation and that all relevant compounding guidelines and quality standards are maintained
- In addition to all duties listed, any and all duties deemed necessary by the managing pharmacist
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
