Collier Medical Specialists is a private boutique primary care practice in Naples, FL established since 2007. We are located in south Naples, nestled in a retired, vibrant, vivacious, growing community of middle age to elderly individuals. We are professional, customer-centric, collaborative team and our goal is to provide comprehensive, world- class medical care without compromising quality.

Since inception, we have had 1 primary care provider, a PA and a full time physical therapist on site with other clinical and non-clinical staff. Our office is seeking a qualified certified Medical Assistant/Clinical Coordinator with experience in outpatient/inpatient Internal Medicine/Primary Care for at least 5 years or more who can provide exceptional, uncompromising compassionate care to patients in our practice.

In addition to providing a comprehensive health "Plan of Care" for patients comprising of annual wellness visits (AWV's), routine follow-ups and urgent care appointments for our patients we also have a fully established "in-house" service for complete - Radiology evaluation with Ultrasounds, Nuclear Stress Testing capabilities, Wound Care Clinic, Coumadin Clinic, Immunization/Travel Medicine Clinic, Osteoporosis clinic, Orthopedic injection clinic and a full PT clinic.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain required personal information necessary to identify all new and existing patients and the correct demographic and preliminary financial information to enable the creation of new patient medical records and the pre-processing of required authorizations / pre-certifications before appointed visit.
  • Prioritize all insurance coverage-primary/secondary/tertiary etc. / enter properly into demographic record.
  • Triaging patients and obtaining vitals/EKG and assisting providers in minor procedures in office.
  • Schedule and certify patients for Ultrasounds and Stress testing in the office.
  • Review and evaluate all incoming consult notes, lab and radiological testing results and triage results to appropriate providers.
  • Call and inform patients about their test results and coordinate follow up testing for further evaluation.
  • Coordinate and manage coumadin clinic and wound care clinic.
  • Preparing and administering vaccinations/immunizations
  • Assess daily ACO app and daily huddle.
  • Review and respond daily to patient telephone messages for prescription refills and clinical questions for various requests.
  • Give patients standardized preliminary clinical instructions and directions in preparation for a scheduled office visit, radiological test, or procedure as needed.
  • Answering patient phone calls and messages and acting as a communication liaison between the patient and provider.
  • Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include filing or sending medical records to a patient or referral provider, appointment scheduling, billing and booking etc.
  • Collection and handling of lab specimens following established standards and practices adhere to infection control safety guidelines, maintaining equipment, instruments and stock supplies.
  • Functions as a liaison between the physician office, referral physicians, and ancillary services and the patients.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
