Job Description
As a Histotechnologist at Physicians Regional Healthcare System, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best, providing quality care to our patients! Requirements:
- Experience: One (1) year preferred.
- Licenses/Certificates: Licensed by the State of Florida as Histology Technician (TS) required or Histology Technologist (TN) preferred.
About the job:
- Responsible for the routine histological testing of patient samples.
- Compliance with the goals and standards of the department and hospital the applicable accrediting organizations (AHCA, CLIA, CAP, and TJC).
- Able to function in the absence of the Lab Supervisor.
- Oversees the work performed by the Lab Assistant in the absence of the Laboratory Supervisor.
- Responsible for complying with all Physicians Regional Healthcare System policies and procedures, for managing supplies and equipment in the department, for satisfaction, and for appropriate resource management.
- Will also take on additional duties e.g., daily statistical reporting and activities, review results, QC review, ordering supplies, and additional projects as requested.
