Collier High School, a highly respected alternative program for students benefitting from a more personalized and therapeutic learning environment, is seeking caring and skilled Social Workers.
Responsibilities:
- Case management
- Participation in IEP and other meetings
- Facilitate support groups
- Link students and their families with community resources, as needed
- Attend staff meetings, parent teacher conferences, back to school night and other school functions and events
- Work closely with school districts child study team
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to assist with social emotional and behavioral need
- Comply with IEP rules and regulations
- Develop intervention plans for student
- Work closely with teachers and administration on methods to enhance students abilities
Qualifications:
- Must have a LCSW
- Must have a School Social Worker certification
- Experience working with at risk youth
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Social work experience: 2 years (Preferred)
Hours: 8:00-3:30 – Monday-Friday, Follows the school calendar: Work September-June and 30 days over the summer
