Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Lead Opportunity Researcher to join our team! We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lead Opportunity Researcher to identify, track, and manage business opportunities. This role involves conducting daily searches for new opportunities, maintaining data integrity in Unanet, and serving as a liaison between project managers (PMs), proposal coordinators, and the marketing team. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless coordination and up-to-date reporting for all opportunity-related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily searches across various search engines to identify new opportunities.
- Share identified opportunities with PMs and enter them into the marketing committee’s daily email log.
- Address PM requests for additional information such as engineering reports, supplementary documents, or other details related to opportunities.
- Enter opportunities into Unanet for initial Go/No Go assessment and update notes as discussions progress.
- Maintain up-to-date status for all opportunities, especially after the Monday morning marketing call, and ensure the information is current for weekly reviews.
- Record notes in Unanet for each opportunity post-marketing call, including reasons for "No Go" decisions and the latest status updates.
- Follow up with PMs for updates if they were absent during the meeting.
- Once an opportunity receives a "Go," confirm with the PM whether marketing support is needed.
- Notify the proposal manager to assign a proposal coordinator and update notes with the decision-maker, PM, and marketing support requirements.
- Bookmark opportunities in appropriate search engine during the preparation stage to monitor addenda updates.
- Distribute received addenda to PMs and proposal coordinators, update Unanet with revised due dates, and document the status in notes.
- Conduct research to locate and retrieve RFQ/RFPs for posted solicitations or ads.
- Ensure all documentation is received and tracked.
- Collaborate with proposal coordinators and PMs to address status updates and miscellaneous questions.
- Verify existing entries in Unanet before sharing opportunities to avoid duplication.
- Identify and alert CRM to duplicate entries in Unanet to prevent double submissions of proposals.
- Proven experience in research, data entry, or project coordination roles.
- Proficiency in CRM tools like Unanet or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with GovWin or similar search platforms is a plus.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
