Overview :
Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a senior dam safety engineer to join our Water group. We are looking for engineers with a broad range of experience level. More experienced candidates are encouraged to respond. Our Water Discipline is growing, and we have exciting projects to engage motivated engineers who enjoy working on a variety of projects on or near the water. Our projects are unique designs and provide a diverse array of interesting work to keep our staff challenged and engaged. Our upcoming project portfolio includes jobs on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the country. Our dam and levee safety work backlog is strong and we are seeking engineers with an interest and expertise in all aspects of dam safety.

Responsibilities :
- Develop project rehabilitation designs for dam, levees and other water retaining structures.
- Manage or Conduct dam and levee safety inspections and surveys for condition evaluation or in support of design efforts investigate variables, obtain measurements,
- photographs, videos, and take notes; write reports.
- Lead and Mentor junior staff to further develop their understanding of dam and levee inspection, design, construction, and analysis.
- Prepare construction documents (plans and specifications).
- Perform cost / quantity estimates and project scheduling.
- Manage construction oversight / monitoring for dam and levee rehabilitation and removal projects.
- Depending on specific training and skill set :
Manage, perform, and review engineering analyses including seepage and slope stability analyses of embankment dams and levees, toe drain and filter designs, and gravity dam stability analyses.
