Your role
Join our team as a Senior Proposal Writer with our Proposals Team!
As the Senior Proposal Writer, you are responsible for telling the story of how we can help our clients meet their real property needs. You lead the timely delivery of proposals for various internal teams, writing, editing, coordinating, and formatting content into clear submissions that are responsive to the client’s requirements.
Using your organizational and communication skills, you manage the many moving parts of a submission, by working effectively with a wide range of people, developing strong working relationships with your teams as you do so.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of professional, high-quality, compelling proposals that effectively educate and inspire action on the part of customers and prospects
- Strategically manage the proposal response from receipt of RFP to the delivery of the final product, including writing content and editing submissions to ensure the proposal is accurate, concise, and effective
- Define and manage the proposal response plan, schedule, and internal communications associated with the proposal development including follow-up with the contributors
- Identify and voice concerns associated with the proposal preparation process and response, as related to issues of compliance and risk
- Actively participate in and lead proposal strategy meetings, researching internal and external information, and distilling into win strategies to be executed in your proposal response
- Participate in trend analysis, proposal debriefings and other similar opportunities to ensure continuous quality improvement and to identify enhancements for proposal content and process
- Support collaboration across the Proposal Team, through updates to our proposal systems and databases of content
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in in reading and responding to Request for Proposal (RFP) documents and developing proposal / bid submissions that respond to their requirements, ideally in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and/or the professional services industries
- A post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, English, Writing, Journalism or equivalent field of study
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Office products with strong Word proficiency
- Exceptional business writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites software, in particular InDesign, is a strong asset.
Approximate Base Salary Range for Role: $80,000 CAD to $95,000 CAD.
Base Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
