SUMMARY
Colliers Mortgage is seeking a driven, customer focused, and detail oriented Senior Commercial Insurance Analyst Team Lead to support our internal Escrow Department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to join an industry-leading insurance team. This individual will build strong cross functional internal relationships, correspond with complex commercial mortgage clients, work with external insurance agents/brokers, as well as our Loan Origination teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain familiarity with various Lender Requirements such as Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs), Bridge/Structured, Life Companies, and HUD/FHA
- Review complex loan documents as well as lender servicing manuals
- Conduct annual reviews of insurance coverage based on lender requirements
- Facilitate comprehensive and effective training sessions for existing employees and oversee new hire onboarding to ensure understanding of necessary skills and procedures.
- Update and provide feedback to senior management on current policies and procedures
- Write and Review well supported and complex insurance waivers
- Provide hands-on leadership through the training and mentoring of insurance analysts and coordinators by assisting in running meetings, holding team member one-on-ones, and in completing quality control audits to provide performance feedback to team members
- Oversee and review various monthly reports to effectively manage the loan portfolio for yourself and your team
- Request revisions to insurance policies from insurance agents/brokers with diligent follow-up to ensure compliance within a strict timeline
- Communicate and make recommendations to lenders to resolve non-compliance
- Certify to lenders compliance with lender requirements as required
- Educate borrowers on loan specific insurance requirements
- Work with Closing & Originations team members to satisfactorily complete assigned Prefunding Insurance reviews, to ensure coverage compliance prior to loan funding
- Other duties assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- 3 years of commercial insurance experience required
- 1 year of Commercial Mortgage Lending industry experience, including familiarity with various Lender Requirements such as Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSE), Life Companies, and/or HUD/FHA required
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, insurance policies and Acord Certificates, complex financial documents, or governmental regulations
- Driven, innovative team-player who is focused on results and strives to deliver a superior work product
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to train and mentor junior staff
- Strong time management skills with respect to deadlines.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies in the available information
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required
- Associate’s degree or greater preferred

COMPENSATION
Pursuant to the laws regarding job postings where the position is located in, Colliers is disclosing the following information:
Approximate Wage Range for this Role: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus
Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
