Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the secure operation of the testing center while maintaining the privacy of sensitive data. Manage daily operations, proctor exams, and ensure compliance with college and agency testing policies. Effectively communicate with students, faculty, staff, testing vendors, and community members.
Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer a variety of testing activities: Certification/Licensure, Correspondence, CLEP, TSIA, Assessment, Instructional and other tests. Will be required to ensure compliance with all institutional policies and procedures, testing standards, and national regulatory requirements (i.e. ADA accommodations, FERPA).
- Operate and troubleshoot testing software systems, ensuring a seamless testing experience.
- Interpret TSIA test scores, course placement, and possible retest options for credit students
- Assist testers in a courteous and professional manner to ease their anxiety. Conduct all test-taking activities in a nondiscriminatory manner (in accordance with local laws and regulations) to ensure that all testers receive equal treatment.
- Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to the established practices and procedures with minimal supervision within the assigned timeframe, while maintaining a professional attitude at all times.
- Respond to all telephone inquiries regarding types of tests offered, hours of Testing Center operations, and fees/requirements of special test administration.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the testing center by following protocols to create an atmosphere that is secure and minimizes distractions. Provide close student monitoring at all times during testing to ensure the integrity of the test.
- Assist faculty with the intake of instructional tests. Keep accurate records of exams and incidents.
- Support ACCESS department by providing student tests following the accommodation guidelines.
- Accurately input exam results and other related data into the appropriate reporting system. Retrieve and interpret test results from various testing platforms.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
Requirements
Associate degree from an accredited institution required.
One (1) year of related experience.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Equivalency Language:
At least sixty (60) hours of college credit, or at least two (2) additional years of directly-related experience may be substituted to meet the education requirement.
Licenses & Certifications:
This position must obtain Accuplacer, CLEP, Meazure Learning, Person VUE, and other proctor certifications within 90 days of employment.
