This position reports directly to the Program Administrator for SUD services but will work closely with the SUD QMHP/LCDC Case Manager as well as the OSAR team, Outpatient Substance use treatment services team, Recovery Support Peer Specialists and other mental health clinicians at LifePath Systems. This position will also work directly with the Collin County Felony Drug court team and Collin County Community Supervision Department (CCSD). This position performs complex therapeutic and psychosocial intake services including counseling, screening, diagnoses, skills training, routine case management, and others as clinically indicated for individuals enrolled in the Collin County Felony Drug court program who are needing mental health services.
This position’s responsibilities include providing psychotherapy using state approved evidence-based models (CBT, TF-CBT, CPT, Play Therapy, PCIT, or Family Therapy) and conducting psychosocial and diagnostic assessments as credentials permit. All services are delivered from a person-centered, culturally, and linguistically appropriate, trauma-informed perspective. This position will develop the individual recovery plans and collaborates with the individual/family to determine appropriate route of services and level of care. Collaboratively works within intake team, mental health case managers and prescribers to ensure access to ongoing services when applicable. This position will assist the intake team, adult services team, intensive services team as needed with BH screenings and mental health intakes. This position may also be available to review diagnoses for other staff if necessary.

This position practices good stewardship of resources by ensuring all required trainings are completed prior to due date and center-issued equipment is kept in good repair. This position will also provide services necessary to benefit the individual’s mental health goal while in the drug court program and ensure individuals are connected to appropriate services for long term treatment of their mental health.
Integrity is necessary to ensure adherence to the Health and Human Services Commission, Texas Administrative Code, contracts, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) grant, other applicable grants, and Lifepath Systems policies and procedures. This position will work closely with Adult Fidelity managers to ensure that all gaps are reconciled.

Working independently and collaboratively to maintain appropriate boundaries and foster better outcomes for individuals served and community partners and facilitating improvement in measurable ways, is central to LifePath Systems mission to serve. This position must have the ability to assess and de-escalate behavioral health crisis situations in calm and respectful manner.
Specific Targets: Ensure that 100% of individuals enrolled in the Adult Treatment Drug Court grant complete a BH screening within 7 days of enrollment. For individuals whose BH screening indicates a need for mental health services/counseling, a mental health intake is completed within the first 30 days of enrollment to the drug court program. Meets service productivity targets of half of time worked per month. 90% of service notes are signed within 2 business days of service. All required trainings are completed prior to due date.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field required.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred but will accept Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy – Associate, or LMSW Under Supervision.
• LCDC or LCDC Intern preferred
• CCBHC knowledge and experience preferred.
• CBT, CPT, TF-CBT, Play Therapy, and/or PCIT certification preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care Practices required.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
