As the Customer Business Director, you will be responsible for establishing fundamentals required to build a strong relationship with key personnel at all levels within assigned customer and develop understanding of key stakeholders within Collins Aerospace. The Customer Business Director must demonstrate strong knowledge of customer’s market and business plan/strategy.

What You Will Do

Customer Management:

  • Provide recommendations to support repair, spares and inventory forecast/planning and corporate strategy initiatives.
  • Own the Aftermarket customer interface for One Collins Aerospace service solutions with Power and Control focus
  • Coordinate with Collins Aerospace Field Service Managers (FSM) to develop new business opportunities and raise any known technical issues with FSM and follow progress.
  • Facilitate resolution of customer satisfaction issues leveraging functional Customer Service groups and product line program management
  • Maintain Executive briefing documents and strategy documents for assigned customers as needed
  • Accounts receivable management

New Business Growth:

  • Know the customer’s organization, culture, structure, key decision makers and the customer decision making process and be responsible for overall customer satisfaction for assigned customer.
  • CBD will have significant interactions with senior level personnel at Collins Aerospace customers on existing programs as well as discussions on future programs as well as manage relationship with customer to support growth and ensure high service levels and understand the customer culture, organization and strategy

Travel: 30-40% to customer locations

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Written, negotiation, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Customer facing experience
  • Commercial Aftermarket Aerospace Sales experience required
  • Business Administration or Engineering Degree or equivalent

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
