This position is for a 3rd shift Lead Quality Inspection Technician IV who works under minimal supervision. Responsible for providing work direction to Inspection staff in accordance with multiple Product Line schedule needs. Capable of performing complex in-process, final and customer source inspections. Will serve as an inspection resource on varied tasks.

What You Will Do:

• Works under minimal supervision to assist with inspecting in-process and completed products.

• Leads second shift staff in preparing inspection plans and provides training/reviews for staff on inspection procedures/work instructions.

• Performs complex in-process and final inspections

• Capable of performing complex First Article Inspections (FAIs) and conformity inspections

• Interfaces with various functions to determine inspection needs and sets staff priorities

• Organizes and prioritizes the staff when resources are minimal, and demands are high

• Works with staff to ensure everyone is consistent with interpretation of inspection criteria

• Works with Supervision to determine which members of the staff need to be trained for specific product lines and/or tasks

• Creates Quality notifications for non-conformances, quarantines non-conforming product and interfaces with Engineering on non-conformance clarifications Performs a variety of tasks, interfacing with multiple functions, to ensure the inspection staff meets company needs

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically, HS diploma and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 6 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• A minimum four years of inspection experience or five years production experience

• Previous experience interpreting schematics and/or technical drawings

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Previous experience interfacing with multiple functions, providing accuracy and attention to detail in all work, and using computers and SAP software

What We Offer:

3rd Shift Schedule:

Friday- Sunday, 6:00am-6:30pm

Overtime available on a business need basis.

The salary range for this role is $50,924 - $95,511. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
