The Quality Assurance Technician (QAT) provides leadership in the quality of the assembly and build processes in accordance with applicable ISO9001:2015 guidelines and Collins Aerospace internal requirements. The focus of the QAT is to identify existing and potential nonconformances through inspection and audits of self-inspection. The QAT will also help prevent defects through risk assessment and mitigation, corrective action, audits, process improvement and Cost of Nonconformance (CoNC) analysis and reduction.
This role will be performed Onsite at our Collins Aerospace location in Salt Lake City, UT.
What You Will Do
- Evaluates Collins Aerospace or supplier products and processes. Participates in cross-functional efforts to ensure proper corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
- Maintains quality data records, compiles information, and prepares reports for internal and external customers.
- Performs preliminary review and Material Review Board analysis and disposition of nonconforming processes, including First Article inspections.
- Applies quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection.
- Performs workmanship inspections.
- Performs hardware, software, and system product acceptance tests.
- Performs audits in accordance with Collins Aerospace/customer/industry standards, reports results, and assigns and monitors follow-up actions.
- Performs duties required by the Quality Management System
- Maintains equipment calibration and tooling tracking systems.
- Maintains radiation safety certification.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

The salary range for this role is 56,000 USD - 112,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
