Our Collins Aerospace Environmental & Airframe Control Systems (EACS) business unit in Windsor Locks, CT is currently looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Systems Verification team.
As the Senior Engineer, you will collaborate with a group of systems engineers throughout the design, development, integration, and verification stages. Your responsibilities will include executing system development and implementation verification tasks for EACS systems. This role will involve defining detailed verification activities, coordinating test campaigns with various functional groups within the organizations, conducting tests in verification labs, and implementing verification automation.
The System Verification team plays a crucial role in outlining development and implementation verification plans, managing resources, and documenting test equipment requirements. Additionally, this group coordinates test activities in system and lower-level test environments to support verification system-level requirements.

What You Will Do
Work in a team environment, engage in full life-cycle development (plan, design, verify, qualify) of environmental and airframe control systems.
Hands-on lab integration, system verification (manual and automated) and troubleshooting.
Drive improvement of systems engineering processes.
Identify risks associated with systems integration activities and develop mitigation plans.
Drive technical issues to closure.
Investigate problems to the root cause and then champion the creation and implementation of corrective actions.
Perform implementation verification including planning, coordination, and execution.
Keeping project milestones on schedule, on budget and contributing to a positive work environment.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in design and verification of complex aerospace or automotive systems.
Familiarity with aerospace certification requirements including ARP4754, DO178, and/or DO254.
Experience with simulation, scripting, and test automation (e.g., Veristand/LabView, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, Perl).
Experience working on programs that use the Agile Framework.
Motivated self-starter with strong analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, experience with presenting technical data.
Ability to collaborate in a mixed-matrix organization on high level projects where you may be working with multiple managers at a time.
